Tetairoa McMillan Continues to Impress
Tetairoa McMillan continued to operate as the Panthers' WR1 and quarterback Bryce Young's favorite target in Week 2 in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Through the first two games, McMillan has seen a consistent workload with nine and 10 targets, respectively. In Week 2, he caught six passes for 100 yards, including a 40-yard reception, but failed to find the end zone. In comparison to Week 1, Young had more time for longer downfield plays to develop, putting together a great second half. Young completed 35 of 55 passes for a career-high 328 yards and three touchdowns. Although McMillan has yet to score, he has shown he can be trusted in both the quick passing game and on deep shots, and he should continue to thrive in all fantasy formats. Things won't get easier for McMillan and the Panthers in Week 3, as they take on the Atlanta Falcons, who just held arguably the best wide receiver in football, Justin Jefferson, to three catches for 81 yards. McMillan should continue to be deployed as a WR2 option with serious upside due to his high-volume target share. Let's hope that Young can build on his Week 2 performance, which would bode well for McMillan's outlook moving forward.
