2 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Teoscar Hernandez (back) is expected to be back in the team's Cactus League lineup on Tuesday after he was scratched from the spring lineup on Sunday against the Kansas City Royals due to back soreness. The move appears to have just been a precaution early in camp games. For now, the 30-year-old should be considered day-to-day, giving him a good chance to be ready for Opening Day at the end of March. Hernandez was acquired from the Blue Jays last November. He's leaving one of the best hitting environments in baseball, but he'll reside in one of the stronger lineups in the American League in Seattle, and he should hit in the heart of the order. Hernandez was an All-Star in 2021 and managed to hit 25 home runs in Toronto in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
