Fred Warner Likely Done for the Season
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) is expected to miss the remainder of the 2025 season after dislocating and breaking his ankle during Sunday's Week 6 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Warner appeared to be in serious pain while he was carted off the field, and the 49ers quickly ruled him out. The star linebacker will undergo additional testing to confirm his exact recovery timeline, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport expects the injury to be season-ending. If confirmed, Warner finishes his 2025 campaign with 51 tackles, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery through six games. Tatum Bethune will take over as a starting linebacker in Warner's absence.
