Steelers Want To Get James Conner More Involved
James Conner has underwhelmed since his big season opener, and offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner thinks it's his fault. “I probably just need to do a better job heating him up,” Fichtner said, referring to giving Conner more carries. “It’s just like quarterbacks, too. You get into a rhythm. And all good running backs, they need that rhythm.” Conner has had fewer than 10 carries in two of the last three games, with eight for 17 yards in Week 2 and nine for 19 yards in Week 4. Fantasy owners realized quickly that Conner is not Le'Veon Bell after Week 1. He hasn't scored since Week 2 and is more of a low-end RB2 until Bell returns from his holdout. However, Conner should see more work in what is expected to be a shootout against the Falcons this Sunday.
