With the No. 3 pick of the 2024 NBA draft, the Houston Rockets selected Kentucky's Reed Sheppard. He wasn't a routine starter for the Wildcats last season. However, Sheppard averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.5 steals. He also shot an impressive 52.1% from behind the arc. There were rumblings the Rockets would be trading this pick.
