Los Angeles Kings forward Quinton Byfield (illness) will miss his first game of the season on Monday night against the Dallas Stars. The Kings camp is currently dealing with an illness bug, and Byfield will join Phillip Danault (illness) on the shelf. The latter will be unavailable for a second consecutive game. Sitting out some action might do good for Byfield, as he hasn't scored a single point in six games. Despite the December slump, Byfield remains on track for a third straight 50-point year. On the Kings squad, Byfield ranks second with 15 assists and has amassed 19 points in 31 games. Andrei Kuzmenko is expected to re-enter the lineup in a first-line role on Monday, while Alex Turcotte will operate as the second-line center.--Taavi Pailk
