Quentin Johnston's Role Could Be About To Grow
1 year agoIf Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams' knee injury causes him to miss significant time (potentially the rest of the season), first-round rookie receiver Quentin Johnston could be called upon much earlier than expected moving forward. Johnston played 27 percent of the offensive snaps in his NFL debut in Week 1 and just 15 percent of the snaps in the Week 2 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans. In his first three games, he has just five receptions on eight targets for 26 yards, but his role will be increasing in three-wide sets if Williams misses extended time. Joshua Palmer should still be the priority waiver-wire addition in standard-sized fantasy leagues this week, but Johnston deserves some consideration as well in deeper leagues.
