After winning the job in the preseason, Carolina Panthers rookie kicker Ryan Fitzgerald has earned the Panthers' placekicker role. The former Florida State Seminole could prove to be a fantasy asset due to his strong leg. In his final college season, he hit all five attempts from 50+ yards out, including a 59-yarder against Georgia Tech. With the Panthers facing a bad Jacksonville defense in Week 1, Fitzgerald could be in for a productive day. Given his range and a favorable matchup, he could pay early dividends for fantasy managers looking for a kicker with a high ceiling.
