Patrick Rodgers was good on Thursday and excellent on Friday at The Houston Open. He shot a 68 then a 63. After that the course turned a bit rough but his game wilted under the pressure. The 73-71 closing left him 11 strokes off the lead yet still tied for 16th. That gave him five straight tournaments where the American finished in the top 30. It also kept his 69.72 scoring average near the top 30 as well. Rodgers' biggest problem, besides the pesky putter was his accuracy off the tee (55.06% -150th on tour). A little more straight and his approaches will give him more chances to make birdies. With that, Rodgers could be suited for the Plantation course. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
