Brock Purdy Progressing Well in Return from Injury
Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder) looked "really good" at Wednesday's practice. "We'll see how he responds today," Lynch said. "His progression has been really a good one." The Iowa State product was able to log another limited session on Wednesday, but has yet to practice fully since picking up toe and shoulder injuries in Week 1. As of now, it's unclear if the plan is for Purdy to suit up in Week 4 for the team's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. If he can't, it will again be former New England Patriots signal-caller, Mac Jones, manning the helm against the visiting Jags. Either way, it appears the 25-year-old isn't far from a return to in-game action

Justin Fields Will Practice on Thursday, Remains in Concussion Protocol
Justin Fields (concussion) will practice on Thursday, but he's still in the league's concussion protocol, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Fields will be listed as limited on the first Week 4 injury report with the Jets facing off against the division-rival Miami Dolphins on Monday night. The 26-year-old slammed his head to the turf in the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills and was forced to sit out of the Week 3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's making progress, but he must clear concussion protocol and be cleared in order to return on Monday night in a good matchup against the winless Dolphins. Glenn has made it clear that Fields will be the starter over veteran Tyrod Taylor once he's past his concussion. If Fields plays, he'll be a high-end QB2 with his dual-threat abilities versus Miami.

Anthony Richardson Sr.'s Cameo Doesn't Move the Fantasy Needle
Anthony Richardson Sr. closed out Week 3's 41-20 victory over the Tennessee Titans, but did not factor into the game's outcome. The former Florida Gator took the field for the Colts' final drive, participating on his first seven plays of the season. He'd finish the contest with negative-one rushing yards on four carries, and nary a single pass attempt, as he was only utilized to hand the ball off, handle a rush, and kneel thrice to run the clock out. The 23-year-old could be a gold mine for fantasy, but he hasn't yet improved enough to be an efficient NFL passer. With teammate Daniel Jones balling out as Indy's starter, Richardson Sr. garners little fantasy appeal outside of a stash in superflex dynasty formats.

Bryce Young Primed for Clash Against Patriots in Week 4
Bryce Young's low 121-yard output in the Panthers' Week 3 shutout win, fantasy managers should anticipate a much larger volume increase in Week 4. Young travels to face a Patriots defense that ranks second in the NFL against the run but is highly vulnerable against the pass (28th). This defensive disparity dictates the game plan: the Patriots should neutralize Carolina's ground game, forcing Young into a pass-heavy script if the Panthers are to remain competitive. Because of this forced volume, Young will need to continue to improve if the Panthers have any chance of winning for the second straight week. Young is playable in DFS formats but should remain benched in single-QB leagues.

Kyler Murray Hovering Around a QB2 in Week 4
Kyler Murray has yet to register a QB1-level finish through the first three weeks of the season, and it doesn't get much easier heading into a short week before the Thursday night game. To make matters worse, Murray will be without his starting running back in James Conner (ankle), Zay Jones (concussion), and four different offensive linemen (two starters) are considered questionable for this matchup. The Cardinals have also lost their last five games against the Seattle Seahawks over the past couple of seasons, and they only scored a combined 24 points in the two outings last year. With that being said, Murray still has capable playmakers when they're not dropping passes, so he still has a high-level QB2 value.

Brock Purdy, Mac Jones Both Limited in Wednesday's Practice
Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder) and Mac Jones (knee) were both limited participants in practice on Wednesday, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said the two signal-callers would share the first-team practice reps on Wednesday, with third-stringer Adrian Martinez also getting some first-team work. Purdy has missed the last two games with turf toe and an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, while Jones aggravated a PCL sprain in his left knee in the Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Jones has gone 53-for-80 for 563 yards, four touchdowns, and one pick in two starts in place of Purdy, without the luxury of having tight end George Kittle (hamstring). It's unknown who will start under center for San Fran in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but for what it's worth, Purdy appeared close to a return last week.

Baker Mayfield Limited During Wednesday's Practice
Baker Mayfield (arm) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice. Mayfield appears to be dealing with an issue with his throwing arm, but fantasy managers shouldn't panic. The Bucs are likely just being cautious early in the week. Barring any setbacks, Mayfield will be out there for the Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. The loss of Mike Evans (hamstring) does hurt this offense, but hopefully the Bucs will get Chris Godwin (ankle) back this weekend. Mayfield has thrown for over 600 yards with six touchdowns and zero interceptions this season. He'll find a way to get the job done, so keep him as a QB1.

Jayden Daniels Waiting for Clearance from Doctors
Jayden Daniels (knee) appears to be feeling better after sitting out Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Daniels suffered a knee injury in Week 2 that forced him to the sideline last Sunday. He was able to get through a limited practice on Wednesday without any discomfort. Despite the progress, Daniels is leaving his game status for Week 4 up to the doctors. The Commanders are likely going to wait it out a few more days before making a final decision. There's a chance that Daniels does suit up this weekend, but wears a brace on his knee. However, no one should blame the Commanders for taking the cautious approach and sitting their young franchise quarterback for one more game. Marcus Mariota completed 15-of-21 passing attempts for 207 yards and a touchdown in Week 3. The 31-year-old seems capable of leading this offense to victory against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4. Fantasy managers will need to check back for another update on Daniels.

Sam Darnold a Worthy Streamer in Week 4
Sam Darnold is a solid streaming option in Week 4 when the team visits the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona's defense has been solid this season, but they are not a scary opponent. Darnold is starting to look like the player we saw in Minnesota in 2024 as he continues to become more comfortable in this new offense. He is poised in the pocket, and the game appears to be slowing down for him. Darnold is also getting a lot of help from a group of weapons that has certainly outperformed expectations thus far this season. The Cardinals have not allowed opposing quarterbacks to light up the fantasy scoreboard, but they have not played anyone at the same caliber as Darnold. Anyone with quarterback injuries should be looking to see if Darnold is on the waiver wire. He is unlikely to be a season-long option, but he should be a solid start in Week 4. His efficiency has remained solid, and his turnovers have been low.

Patrick Mahomes Listed With Wrist Injury, Practicing in Full
Patrick Mahomes (wrist) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, he was listed on this week's injury report with a right-wrist injury, according to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports. It's something worth keeping an eye on, but it sounds as though it won't put the six-time Pro Bowler in danger of missing a Week 4 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The 30-year-old led the Chiefs to their first win of 2025 in a Week 3 victory over the New York Giants, going 22-for-37 passing for 224 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions while carrying the ball five times for only two yards. Mahomes and KC's offense just do not look right through three weeks while being without receivers Xavier Worthy (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (suspension). He has yet to go over 300 yards or throw more than one touchdown in a game, although Baltimore's struggling defense could be a get-right spot for Mahomes and Company this weekend.

Cameron Ward Limited on Wednesday
Cameron Ward (ankle/calf) was limited on Wednesday due to ankle and calf injuries. Fantasy managers should monitor his status in case he faces a setback later in the week. However, seeing that he was still able to practice suggests he is not in danger of missing their Week 4 contest against the Houston Texans. After tallying just 112 passing yards in his NFL debut against a tough Denver Broncos defense, Ward has gone on to average 197.0 passing yards over his last two weeks. During this stretch, Ward has thrown two passing scores with only one interception. Facing a tough Houston defense on Sunday that has allowed the sixth-fewest PPR points to opposing QBs makes Ward a low-end QB2 in all formats.

Russell Wilson Won't Ask to be Traded or Released
Russell Wilson will not ask to be traded or released after being benched in favor of rookie first-rounder Jaxson Dart going into Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post. It didn't take long for the Giants to move on from Wilson after signing him to a one-year deal in free agency, and head coach Brian Daboll said that Dart is going to be the starter for the rest of the year. Mr. Unlimited threw for 450 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but in his other two starts, he combined for 328 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions. Fantasy managers who picked him up after his big Week 2 performance can obviously send him back to the waiver wire. The 36-year-old won't make another start for the G-Men unless Dart gets injured.

Jaxson Dart to Start for the Rest of the Season
Jaxson Dart will be the team's starter for the rest of the season, with veteran Russell Wilson serving as the backup, according to Art Stapleton of the North Jersey Bergen Record. It didn't take long for the 0-3 Giants to bench Wilson and go with Dart, whom they traded up for in the first round of April's draft to select. The Ole Miss product will be thrown into the fire in a tough Week 4 matchup against the 3-0 Los Angeles Chargers this weekend. While we would not recommend the 22-year-old as a DFS option in his first NFL start, Dart's dual-threat abilities at the most important position on the field give him plenty of long-term upside in New York. Receivers Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson should benefit, but there are going to be growing pains along the way.

Jayden Daniels Will be Limited on Wednesday
Jayden Daniels (knee) will practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. "He is doing everything you possibly can to get there," Quinn said. Daniels is making progress after spraining his knee in the Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers, but he's not a lock to return in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons after sitting out last week's win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Commanders aren't going to rush the 24-year-old signal-caller back this weekend if he's up in the air, especially after backup Marcus Mariota looked good in his first start of the year against the Raiders. Daniels could need a full practice on either Thursday or Friday to have a shot at playing in Week 4. If he does play, fantasy managers will want to get him back in their lineups against a Falcons defense that just gave up 30 points to the Carolina Panthers.

Kirk Cousins Won't Compete for Starting QB Job
Michael Penix Jr. despite his rough performance in the 30-0 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3, according to Terrin Waack of AtlantaFalcons.com. The Falcons will not consider veteran backup Kirk Cousins for the starting job. "We're not even close to that with Mike. He had a bad day. We had a bad day. Mike is our quarterback. We got a lot of confidence in Mike. We're moving forward with Mike. Mike's the guy," Morris said. Cousins entered late in the blowout loss on Sunday and went 5-for-7 for 29 yards. The Falcons could quickly change their tune if Penix continues to struggle, but for now, Atlanta will keep Cousins in the backup role going into a Week 4 matchup against the Washington Commanders. It's possible Cousins will be traded, but through three weeks, his trade market has been quiet.
