Josh Allen Could Feast in Week 4
Josh Allen is set up for success going into Sunday's home matchup versus the 0-3 New Orleans Saints. The reigning MVP will face a defense that has surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, even though the Saints haven't gone up against anyone in Allen's stratosphere. They've instead struggled against lesser signal-callers in Kyler Murray, Mac Jones, and Sam Darnold. Those three combined to complete 70.8 percent of passes with seven touchdown tosses, zero interceptions, and a lofty 118.9 QB rating. While Jones and Darnold don't scare anyone with their legs, the mobile Murray scampered for 38 yards on seven rushes against New Orleans. That's good news for Allen, an elite dual threat fantasy managers can confidently count on going into Week 4.

Geno Smith Poised For QB1 Numbers Against Bears
Geno Smith enters Week 4 with a strong opportunity to post QB1 numbers against the struggling Chicago Bears defense. Chicago has allowed 247.7 passing yards per game while ranking 27th in total defense and 26th against the pass, creating an inviting matchup for fantasy managers. Smith is coming off a sharp performance in Week 3 where he threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns, showing clear chemistry with his receiving corps. With the Bears' secondary routinely giving up big plays, Smith carries both a safe floor and a sneaky-high ceiling this week. He should be started confidently as a low-end QB1 in all fantasy formats.

Jayden Daniels Ruled Out for Week 4
Jayden Daniels (knee) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's Week 4 game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Daniels will miss a second straight game due to a knee sprain that he suffered in Week 2. The good news is that Daniels made progress this week and put in a few limited practices, which will give him a much better chance to make his return in a Week 5 date against the Los Angeles Chargers. Washington will also be without star wideout Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) this weekend, forcing Deebo Samuel Sr., Luke McCaffrey, and rookie Jaylin Lane in starting three-wide sets against the Falcons. Veteran Marcus Mariota looked good in his first start of the year in last week's win over the Las Vegas Raiders, and he'll once again be in play as a QB2 streamer in superflex leagues.

Baker Mayfield Resumes Throwing on Friday
Baker Mayfield (biceps) resumed throwing the football before practice on Friday, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Mayfield has been limited in practice this week with a biceps injury in his right arm. The 30-year-old veteran is one of the toughest players in the league and is expected to be active in a Week 4 showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it's fair to wonder if he'll be limited in what he can do down the field on Sunday. He was seen wearing a sleeve on his right throwing arm on Thursday. In addition to potentially not being 100 percent this weekend, Mayfield will be without top receiver Mike Evans, who is expected to miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 3. In a less-than-ideal matchup against Philly, Mayfield should be viewed as a shaky QB streamer this week in fantasy.

Jayden Daniels Not Spotted at Practice on Friday
Jayden Daniels (knee) was not seen at Friday's practice. It's unfortunate news after the second-year signal-caller was able to log limited sessions the previous two days. Daniels was trending in the right direction for a bit, but a DNP on Friday makes this situation more murky than it appeared on Thursday. As of now, team doctors will decide if the 24-year-old is suited to play. Washington also seems likely to be without wide receivers Terry McLaurin (quad) and Noah Brown (groin, knee) in Week 4, meaning veteran QB Marcus Mariota could have a tougher time out down a few skill players against the hosting Atlanta Falcons.

Sam Darnold Plays Clean Football as Seahawks Win on TNF
Sam Darnold completed 18 of his 26 pass attempts for 242 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions during Thursday's Week 4 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He also took three sacks and rushed for 24 yards. The veteran's clean, turnover-free football helped keep his team in the lead for most of the game and was enough to seal the victory over a divisional opponent on primetime television. The 28-year-old has strung together three decent weeks, totaling five touchdowns and two turnovers during that span. He ranks as a mid-range QB2 heading into Week 5 against Tampa Bay.

Kyler Murray Struggles with Turnovers as Comeback Falls Short
Kyler Murray completed 27 of his 41 pass attempts for 200 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions during Thursday's Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He also took two sacks and rushed for 41 yards. While Murray impressed on the ground, leading Arizona in rushing yards, and did throw for two fourth-quarter touchdowns, his turnovers and sacks proved too costly as the Cardinals couldn't finish off their comeback effort Thursday night. Murray has been one of the most consistent fantasy quarterbacks this season, albeit somewhat unimpressive. He continues to rank as a mid-to-high QB2 ahead of next week's game against the Tennessee Titans.

Justin Fields Trending Toward Suiting Up in Week 4, Practicing in Full
Justin Fields (concussion) was a full participant at Thursday's practice, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports. It's a positive step for the Ohio State product, who had yet to log even a limited session since sustaining a concussion back in Week 2. Fields is still required to fully clear protocol before he can suit up for Monday night's matchup with the Miami Dolphins, but he appears to be on track to do just that as of now. Fortunately, he'll get an extra day to do so, as the game takes place on Monday. The 26-year-old will slot back in as New York's starting QB upon his return, and presents as a low-end QB1 for fantasy purposes when healthy.

Mac Jones Limited Again with Knee Issue
Mac Jones was a limited participant at practice for the second consecutive day due to a knee injury. Jones is dealing with a PCL sprain that was aggravated during last weekend's win against the Cardinals. With teammate Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder) still limited in his own right, the 49ers continue to deal with tumult regarding injuries. The sentiment around the team seems to be that Purdy has a chance to return in Week 4, barring any setbacks. However, that hinges on his status following Friday's practice. If Purdy and Jones both can't go, it will be Adrian Martinez calling signals against the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brock Purdy Stays Limited, Progressing Towards Week 4 Return
Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder) was again listed as a limited participant in Thursday's team practice, ESPN's Nick Wagoner reports. The 25-year-old is still hampered by toe and shoulder injuries, but at least he has consistently been able to log a limited session without a setback. With fellow signal caller Mac Jones (knee) nursing an injury of his own, San Francisco is suddenly in danger of being down two QBs ahead of their Week 4 meeting with the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars. Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted on Thursday that Purdy is progressing toward a return on Sunday, stating, "I think (the toe) is feeling better each day and if that continues he should be good on Sunday." We'll know more following tomorrow's practice.

Shedeur Sanders Thinks he's "Ready" to Play in NFL
Shedeur Sanders said in an interview with ESPN Cleveland that he's "ready to play right now" and is "more capable" than other QBs in the league. Sanders is keeping a positive mindset on a daily basis despite being the No. 3 signal-caller on Cleveland's depth chart behind veteran Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. His father, former NFL legend Deion Sanders, recently said that he thinks his son will be starting for the Browns at some point this year despite falling to the fifth round in April's draft. Flacco has not impressed at all through three weeks, but Gabriel will almost certainly get the first shot at starting duties under center in Cleveland before Sanders does if the Browns eventually bench Flacco. The 23-year-old looked good during preseason action, but it was also against second- and third-stringers on defense.

Jayden Daniels Limited Again on Thursday
Jayden Daniels (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Daniels is making progress from a knee sprain that he suffered in the Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers, but he's up in the air to return this weekend for a road matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The 24-year-old was held out of the Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. If he is unable to upgrade to a full practice on Friday, Daniels will likely go into Sunday's contest with a questionable designation. The Commanders aren't going to rush the second-year signal-caller back onto the field, especially if his lateral movement is still compromised. If Daniels can return against Atlanta, fantasy managers will want to get him back into their starting lineups, even if he's without top wideout Terry McLaurin (quadriceps).

Cameron Ward Practices in Full on Thursday
Cameron Ward (ankle/calf) was able to log a full practice on Thursday after being limited in practice on Wednesday. Ward's status is still worth monitoring heading into Friday, but he appears to be on track to play in Week 4 against the Houston Texans. Ward has struggled in the first three games of his NFL career, completing just 54.5% of his pass attempts for 506 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Texans' defense has been one of the best units in the league so far in 2025, so Ward could be in for another rough game on Sunday. Even in two-quarterback formats, Ward should be avoided by fantasy managers in Week 4.

Justin Fields Will Start if he's Cleared From Concussion
Justin Fields (concussion) is cleared from the league's concussion protocol, he will start against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 on Monday night over veteran Tyrod Taylor, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Fields' head slammed to the turf in the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills and suffered a concussion, which kept him out of the Week 3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Taylor nearly led New York to a comeback win in that one, but the Jets are making it clear that Fields is their starter when healthy. Fields is returning to practice on Thursday, but he remains in the concussion protocol, putting his status for the Week 4 Monday night game up in the air. If Fields plays, he'll have a great shot at a bounce-back game with QB1 upside against the winless Dolphins and their suspect defense.

Baker Mayfield Practicing Again, Should be Good for Week 4
Baker Mayfield (biceps) practiced again on Thursday with a sleeve on his arm, according to Greg Auman of FOX Sports. Mayfield seems to be throwing fine and should be good to go for the Week 4 game on Sunday against the 3-0 Philadelphia Eagles. Mayfield was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice and could have the same designation on Thursday, but he's expected to play this weekend as the Bucs look to go 4-0. The 30-year-old will not have top wideout Mike Evans (hamstring) available for at least a couple of weeks, but he could be getting receiver Chris Godwin (ankle) back for the first time this year. Mayfield has yet to go over 233 passing yards through three weeks in 2025, but he does have six touchdowns and no interceptions. He'll be on the QB1/2 borderline against Philly in fantasy. UPDATE: Mayfield was limited again on Thursday.
