Trevor Larnach Starting In Right Field On Tuesday
Trevor Larnach will start in right field and bat eighth for Tuesday's series opener against the visiting Baltimore Orioles and left-hander Cade Povich at Target Field. Larnach was initially slated to be on the bench, he draws into the lineup after Harrison Bader was scratched. The 28-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder is best faded in DFS and regular fantasy leagues while facing a left-hander on Tuesday. The former first-rounder (20th overall) in 2018 out of Oregon State has slashed .230/.321/.344 on the year with a .666 OPS, four home runs, 16 RBI, 17 runs scored and one stolen base in 122 at-bats. Against lefties, he's gone 3-for-21 with no homers, two RBI, one walk and six strikeouts. Larnach has never faced off against Povich in his career.Source: MLB.com
Minnesota Twins outfielder Royce Lewis Hitting Fifth In Season Debut
Royce Lewis (hamstring) is serving as the designated hitter and is batting fifth for the Twins in his 2025 debut on Tuesday against the visiting Baltimore Orioles and left-hander Cade Povich. Lewis strained his left hamstring in spring training and missed the start of the regular season, but he was activated from the injured list on Monday and will make his season debut in the series opener against Baltimore. While the 25-year-old former first-rounder has had trouble staying on the field since debuting in the big leagues in 2022, he has demonstrated his ability for high-end power by hitting 33 home runs and driving in 104 in 152 total games over 152 big-league games. Eventually, Lewis will move to an everyday role at third base, but for now, he will be eased in as the DH. Lewis is hitless in just two career at-bats versus Povich.Source: MLB.com
Minnesota Twin third baseman Carlos Carrasco Designated For Assignment
Carlos Carrasco was designated for assignment on Tuesday after posting a 5.91 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and 10.6 percent K-BB% over eight appearances (six starts, 32 IP). The team recalled Yerry De Los Santos in a corresponding move, but as a reliever, the move doesn't fill the void in the rotation left by Carrasco. It's not clear what the Yankees' rotation plans are from here, although the team does have Allan Winans at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre who recently made headlines for striking out 10 of the first 11 batters he faced back on April 23, currently sporting a 0.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and a 5:24 BB:K in 14 IP. Regardless, look for Carrasco to latch on somewhere else, but he's probably best left to the waiver wire wherever that ends up being. Source: Yankees PR Dept.
New York Yankees starting pitcher Jhonkensy Noel On The Bench For First Game Of Doubleheader
Jhonkensy Noel will retreat to the bench for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the hosting Washington Nationals. The left-handed-hitting Nolan Jones will start in right field and bat eighth against Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin. This will be Noel's second straight game on the bench after he's gone 4-for-31 with two home runs, four RBI, no walks and 13 strikeouts in his last 12 games since April 20. The 23-year-old Dominican has hit just .164 (11-for-67) on the year with two homers and eight RBI. Jones hasn't been any better from the left side as an option in right field, going 12-for-77 (.156) with one long ball, five RBI, five runs and two stolen bases. Neither player has stood out and gained extra playing time for the Guards as of early May. Jones won't be a very attractive DFS play due to his slump and his low lineup placement.Source: MLB.com
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Josh Bell Sitting In Game 1 Of Doubleheader On Tuesday

Ryan Helsley Secures Win To Record Sixth Save
Ryan Helsley picked up his sixth save of the season on Monday, securing the 6-3 victory over the Pirates. It wasn't a clean inning, though, as two runners reached base via singles, but a groundout and two strikeouts ended Pittsburgh's threat. With a 3.46 ERA and 1.54 WHIP, the righty hasn't been quite as dominant as last year, but is in one of the more stable back-end bullpen situations in the league, which makes him one of the more valuable relievers for fantasy. However, the 30-year-old also picked up a save on Sunday, so pitching back-to-back nights may open the door for another reliever to pick up a save on Tuesday if the situation arises. Source: ESPN
St. Louis Cardinals closer Edwin Diaz Notches Save No. 8 In Monday's Win
Edwin Diaz secured the team's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks on Monday, picking up his eighth save of the season in the process. The first batter reached base on an error, but was caught stealing for the first out, then Diaz coaxed a flyout and a strikeout to end the game. The 31-year-old hit a rough patch earlier this season and has battled through a hip issue, but has allowed just two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out 15 over his last eight appearances. For the season, the 2x All-Star owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 7:22 BB:K over 14 innings pitched, and remains one of the top options at the position for fantasy. Source: ESPN
New York Mets closer Kirby Yates Records First Save On Monday
Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Kirby Yates recorded his first save of the season in Monday's 7-4 victory over the Marlins. The 38-year-old is coming off a 33-save season for the Rangers in which he posted aread more...
Chayce McDermott Activated Off Injured List, Sent To Triple-A
Chayce McDermott (lat) off the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk. McDermott was dealing with a lat strain during the opening month of the campaign. He logged 5 2/3 innings of rehab work and allowed two hits and one run, and held a 6:4 K:BB. Last summer, McDermott spent most of his time at Triple-A but did make his MLB debut. Across his first four innings of work in Baltimore, the right-hander held a 6.75 ERA. At Triple-A, the No. 4-ranked prospect in the Baltimore system posted a solid 3.78 ERA with a 1.41 WHIP across 100 innings of work. During this stint, he struck out 144 batters and served up 60 free passes. Fantasy managers should expect McDermott to contend for a return to the major leagues later this summer.Source: Jake Rill
The Baltimore Orioles have officially activated right-handed pitching prospect Leodalis De Vries Riding Five-Game Hitting Streak
Leodalis De Vries is riding a five-game hitting streak at High-A. This streak was kick-started by a three-hit outing on April 29 against Dayton. During this stretch, the top prospect in San Diego has held a .553/.667/.867 slash line with two doubles, one home run, six RBI, six walks, and no strikeouts. The 18-year-old began the season at High-A and has looked quite comfortable through his first 22 contests at this level. Over this stretch, the No. 17-ranked prospect in the system has held an impressive .309/.400/.593 slash line with five doubles, three triples, four home runs, and three stolen bases. Last summer, De Vries spent his time at Low-A, where he held a .237/.361/.441 line. Given his current progression, he should be in the mix to join Double-A in the second half of the season.Source: MiLB.com
San Diego Padres infield prospect Moises Ballesteros Not Slowing Down At Triple-A
Chicago Cubs catching prospect Moises Ballesteros has continued to swing a hot bat at Triple-A and is making a strong case for an early-season MLB debut. The 21-year-old saw his incredible 19-game hitting streak come toread more...
Michael McGreevy Sent Back To Triple-A
Michael McGreevy back to Triple-A Memphis. In a corresponding move, the Cardinals promoted right-handed pitcher Gordon Graceffo. McGreevy was promoted prior to Sunday's doubleheader against the New York Mets. He was deployed in a long relief role in Game 2 and looked quite sharp as he logged five 2/3 innings of one-hit ball. He served up just one walk and struck out five. McGreevy also performed well during his first taste of the major leagues in 2024, when he posted a 1.96 ERA and a 0.78 WHIP across 23 innings. During this stretch, he struck out 18 batters and held a near-perfect 2.3 percent walk rate. Fantasy managers should expect the No. 11-ranked prospect in the system to return to the majors later this summer.Source: St. Louis Cardinals
The St. Louis Cardinals have optioned right-handed pitching prospect Sebastian Walcott Hits Skid At Double-A
Sebastian Walcott has hit a bit of a skid over the week at Double-A. Over his last eight contests, Walcott has held an underwhelming .200/.294/.200 slash line with no extra-base hits. During this stretch, he has stolen two bases and held a 4:4 K:BB. However, prior to this slump, the No. 16-ranked prospect in the sport had enjoyed a strong start to the regular season. He held a .266/.392/.453 slash line with six doubles and two home runs. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the 19-year-old's progression as he continues to work out his struggles at Double-A. Last season, the top prospect in Texas spent most of his time with High-A. Given his current trajectory, fantasy managers should expect Walcott to contend for a 2026 MLB debut.Source: MiLB.com
Texas Rangers shortstop prospect Dodgers Call Up J.P. Feyereisen
J.P. Feyereisen from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday and designated right-hander Yoendrys Gomez for assignment in a corresponding move, according to The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya. Feyereisen will give the Dodgers a fresh bullpen arm for the time being in the big leagues. The 32-year-old veteran began the year with the Arizona Diamondbacks but was cut after giving up three runs (two earned) while walking none and striking out two in two relief innings in the desert. He quickly latched on with the Dodgers to stay in the National League West after making 10 relief appearances with L.A. a year ago. In those 10 outings, he allowed 10 earned runs on 11 hits while walking five and striking out nine. There's nothing to see here for fantasy managers.Source: The Athletic - Fabian Ardaya
The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-hander Paul Sewald To Be Checked At Two-Week Intervals
Paul Sewald (shoulder) suffered an isolated high-grade posterior deltoid strain in his right shoulder on April 28 and landed on the 10-day injured list on April 22 (retroactive to April 20). Sewald will be rechecked at two-week intervals to determine his progress and his readiness to start a return-to-throw program. The Guardians expect the 34-year-old veteran to be out for a while, and without a clear timetable for a return, it's safe to say that we probably won't see him back in the big-league bullpen until at least June. Sewald hadn't been good for the Guardians prior to his injury, either, as he had surrendered eight earned runs on 13 hits (three home runs) while walking two and striking out 15 in 11 2/3 innings over 14 relief appearances. Sewald does bring plenty of experience, though, with 85 career saves in nine MLB seasons.Source: MLB.com
