New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (elbow) will "hopefully" return to playing defense during the team's upcoming road trip, manager Aaron Boone told Talkin' Yanks. Judge missed the end of July and the beginning of August after suffering a flexor strain, and he has been limited to DH duties since coming off the 10-day injured list a week ago. That could change when the Yankees embark on a five-game road trip later this week. They'll be in St. Louis from Friday through Sunday before starting a two-game set at Tampa Bay on Aug. 19. Judge has been stuck on 37 home runs since his return and has picked up a paltry four hits in 19 at-bats with no extra-base knocks, two RBI, six strikeouts, and four walks in six games.--Connor ByrneSource: Talkin' Yanks

Free-agent running back Tyrion Davis-Price is signing an undisclosed deal with the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Davis-Price heads to the NFC North after he was released by the Tennessee Titans in th middle of July. The 24-year-old was originally a third-round pick (93rd overall) by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2022 NFL draft out of LSU. He never panned out in the Bay Area in two seasons there, carrying the ball a combined 40 times for 120 yards and no touchdowns on the ground in only seven games. Davis-Price appeared in one game with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024 and had three carries for seven yards. He will provide some depth in the RB room during the preseason behind Josh Jacobs, Emanuel Wilson, MarShawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks. Wilson and Lloyd have been banged up in camp.--Keith HernandezSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz (concussion) is going through rehab protocol and continuing to participate in baseball activities as he works back from a concussion. The 27-year-old has already missed over a month after going on the seven-day concussion IL on July 6. Before that, Ruiz hit an underwhelming .247/.277/.318 with two homers, 25 RBI, and 19 runs scored in 267 trips to the plate. He has experienced a noticeable drop in power this year after combining for 31 homers in the previous two seasons. Riley Adams, Ruiz's replacement, hasn't fared much better. Although Adams has belted seven HRs, he owns an unsightly .190/.247/.361 line and a sky-high 40% strikeout rate in 170 plate appearances.--Connor ByrneSource: MLB.com

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said that veteran backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee) had a "procedure" on his knee, but the team hopes that he will be ready to go for the Week 1 regular-season opener in early September. Taylor missed practice on Monday with his knee injury and will now likely miss the rest of the preseason. With the 36-year-old sidelined, Adrian Martinez and Brady Cook will see additional reps in practices and the preseason behind starter Justin Fields. Taylor is in his 15th season in the NFL and is going into his second year with the Jets. Last year behind Aaron Rodgers, he played in only two games and threw for 119 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions on 22 pass attempts. Taylor is completely off the fantasy radar as long as Fields is healthy.--Keith HernandezSource: New York Post - Brian Costello

Washington Nationals right-hander Josiah Gray (elbow, forearm) is continuing to throw bullpen sessions at the team's facility in Florida, but he's not ready to face live hitters yet, per Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com. The Nationals are taking a cautious approach with Gray, who's a little over a year removed from undergoing Tommy John surgery and internal-brace procedure in July 2024. Time is running out on a potential Gray return this year, as he'll still need to embark on a rehab assignment after several sessions against live hitters. In 2023, his most recent healthy season, the 27-year-old threw a career-high 159 innings and logged a 3.91 ERA with a 1.46 WHIP and 143 strikeouts against 80 walks.--Connor ByrneSource: Mark Zuckerman - MASNsports.com

The Houston Texans plan to place tight end Brevin Jordan (knee) on the season-ending Injured Reserve after he suffered a serious injury in Monday's training camp practice, a source tells Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle. It's unclear exactly what injury that Jordan suffered, but the 25-year-old was coming back from a torn ACL that limited him to just two games last year. It's a brutal blow for Jordan, who had been looking good in practices this summer as he competed for playing time behind starter Dalton Schultz. With Jordan now out for the entire 2025 season, Cade Stover and Irv Smith Jr. will be competing for playing time as the TE2 in Houston behind Schultz. In his four years in the NFL (all with Houston), Jordan has 53 catches on 80 targets for 532 yards and five touchdowns in 36 games (12 starts).--Keith HernandezSource: Houston Chronicle - Jonathan M. Washington Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews (oblique) will stay on his rehab assignment with Triple-A Rochester through at least Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports. Crews, who has been on the injured list with a strained left oblique since May 21, has already played 11 games with Rochester. He just returned to playing nine innings in the outfield, though, and the Nationals want the 23-year-old to continue working on his timing at the plate. Crews has gone a productive 10-for-36 with two home rune, seven RBI, six strikeouts, and one walk with Rochester. With the Nationals, the former second overall pick slumped to a .196/.266/.354 line with seven homers, 15 RBI, 24 runs scored, and 11 stolen bases in 173 plate appearances before going on the IL.--Connor ByrneSource: Mark Zuckerman - MASNsports.com

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said that quarterback Jordan Love (thumb) is undergoing a procedure to fix a ligament issue in his left thumb, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky. Gutekunst says the hope is that Love will return to practice next week, and that the injury is not expected to affect him long-term or impact his Week 1 availability. The good news for both Packers fans and fantasy managers is that the injury is on Love's non-throwing hand, but this is still something to monitor throughout the remainder of the preseason. Love profiles as a mid-to-low-end QB2 in fantasy who needs passing volume to be a consistent contributor. If he were to miss time, Malik Willis would be the favorite to step in at quarterback in Green Bay, which would significantly impact the fantasy outlook of the Packers' pass-catchers.--Will BradySource: ESPN - Rob Demovsky

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (undisclosed) is dealing with an undisclosed injury that he suffered on Sunday and missed practice on Monday as a result, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss. New England is holding joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday and Thursday, and Reiss writes that Henry might not be available for those sessions. The 30-year-old Henry started 16 games for New England in 2024, recording 66 catches for 674 yards and two touchdowns. If he were to miss time, veteran Austin Hooper would likely step in as the Patriots' TE1. Henry's absence could also improve the target-share outlooks for the team's top wide receivers, Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas.--Will BradySource: ESPN - Mike Reiss

Bud Cauley and his playoff hopes looked bleak before last week. The American golfer had one Top 25 result in his previous seven events (three missed cuts). Fortunately, a Sunday 69 was enough for a T-14 that moved Cauley inside the Top 50 in FedEx Cup points. Now, he ranks 46th and needs a Top 5 or maybe better. That would potentially move him up the 16 spots he needs. In his last five starts, Cauley has done little outstanding and his strokes gained to putting is only 0.046. His birdie or better conversion percentage ranks 37th overall at 33.24%. Unfortunately, the lack of consistent birdies makes him a difficult choice for DFS players and bettors alike.--Chris Wassel - RotoBallerSource: PGATour.com

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (shoulder/toe) is not participating in the team's joint practice with the New York Jets on Tuesday, according to Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com. Nabers suffered a minor shoulder injury earlier in training camp and is also managing a toe injury he's been battling since college. Neither ailment is expected to keep him out of regular-season action. The 22-year-old earned 170 targets in 15 games as a rookie in 2024 and should be the focal point of the Giants' offense once again in 2025. Nabers is a high-end fantasy WR1 with a chance to be the overall WR1, particularly in PPR-scoring formats.--Will BradySource: NorthJersey.com - Art Stapleton

Harris English still has inconsistencies in his game. However, the American golfer has buried most of those enough to be 10th in the FedEx Cup points as the BMW Championship looms. English is +4500 to win the tournament via DraftKings. The last time at Caves Valley saw English finish T-26 as he rebounded with a final round 65. He has been up and down a little over the past few months. Fortunately, the down was last week in Memphis. DFS players could be bullish on English if the pattern holds. After all, he struggled at the Genesis before finishing runner-up at The Open Championship. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerSource: PGATour.com

Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said that wide receiver Darnell Mooney (shoulder) is "week-to-week" and that he expects to "have him back healthy this year." Mooney injured his shoulder during the first week of training camp and appears to be at risk of missing the start of the regular season. The 27-year-old played in 16 games for Atlanta last season, recording 64 catches for 992 yards and five touchdowns. If Mooney misses games, KhaDarel Hodge and DJ Chark could be in line for more regular snaps. Falcons WR1 Drake London would likely see a sizable jump in target share, as would top tight end Kyle Pitts.--Will BradySource: The Athletic - Josh Kendall

Jason Day finds himself in a bind. The Australian golfer ranks 44th in the FedEx Cup points standings heading into Caves Valley Golf Club this week. The Maryland golf course expects to yield a lot of birdies. Day has struggled in the past three events staying mostly around Even (no better than -2). Finishing outside the Top 50 in Memphis last week after two missed cuts has bettors and DFS players skittish for this week. His 0.568 strokes gained putting over the previous five events is not bad. However, his birdie or better conversion percentage is only 70th at 31.8%. Day can get hot but the Travelers Championship feels like several months ago and not a June event. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerSource: PGATour.com

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said that there is no clarity on the team's kicker competition and that he's "excited about both" Matthew Wright and Ryan Fitzgerald, according to Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer. The 29-year-old Wright has played for six NFL teams across five seasons, with his longest run being a 14-game stretch for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. He's made 87.3% of his 63 career field goal attempts with a long of 59 yards. Fitzgerald is an undrafted rookie out of Florida State who made all 13 of his field goal attempts in his final collegiate season. Both kickers will get their next chance to separate themselves in Carolina's second preseason game on Saturday against the Houston Texans.--Will BradySource: The Charlotte Observer - Alex Zietlow

Cameron Young had doubters. Then, the American golfer showed up and won the Wyndham Championship. Last week in Memphis, a 71 brought on a little more skepticism. Young erased that with a 64 that vaulted him back into the Top 5. With that, Young stands at 12th in the FedEx Cup point standings. Young's putter has been great on tour and now is 7th in terms of strokes gained (0.643). That number jumps to 0.824 in his previous five events. Young is +3000 via DraftKings to win and +185 to finish among the Top 10. He ranks 35.95% (5th) in birdie or better percentage. With Caves Valley looking to be birdie friendly, Young will be an option for bettors. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerSource: PGATour.com

J.J. Spaun won the US Open at Oakmont. However, the American golfer nearly pulled off an improbable win last week in Memphis. He forced a playoff with Justin Rose before just missing out on the win. That mattered little as Spaun moved up to third in the FedEx Cup standings. Spaun is among the contenders at +3000 to win at Caves Valley Golf Club. After shooting all four rounds in the 60's last week, few expect Spaun to fall off much in Maryland. This golf course is set up for birdies. With his spot safe for East Lake, the belief is Spaun will take a few more risks than usual this week. At the least, he could be a high-cost DFS choice. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerSource: PGATour.com

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will not play in the team's second preseason game on Friday, per ESPN's Marc Raimondi. Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins is also unlikely to play, although it has not been completely ruled out by the team. Neither Penix Jr. nor Cousins played in Atlanta's first preseason game against the Detroit Lions last Friday, leaving Easton Stick and Emory Jones to handle signal-calling duties. Penix Jr. has a long injury history dating back to his time in college, so it makes sense why the team would want to be cautious with him in the preseason despite his limited NFL experience as a starter (three games).--Will BradySource: ESPN - Marc Raimondi

Brian Harman stands inside the top 20 in terms of FedEx Cup points. The American golfer is in position to make it to East Lake next week. First, he must stay in the top 30 after the BMW Championship. Harman shot a 67 on Sunday to end up T22 in Memphis. That kept him on solid footing. Now, Harman showed he can make some birdies at Caves Valley in 2021. His 12-under was enough to keep him near the top 25 (T29). His longer odds to win at plus-7500 via DraftKings are of little concern here. Harman is probably not the most ideal DFS choice, either. His overall scoring average ranks 123rd at 70.46. For him, it is about surviving to the finale.--Chris Wassel - RotoBallerSource: PGATour.com

Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in his team's 7-6 loss to the Texas Rangers on Monday. Perdomo entered the 2025 season with 14 total home runs in over 1,400 career big-league plate appearances, so the 12 he has hit this year represents a significant power surge. In 522 plate appearances in 2025, Perdomo is hitting .286/.385/.436 with 12 home runs, 78 RBI, 66 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases. He's recorded more walks (70) than strikeouts (56) while posting the best barrel and hard-hit rates of his career. Perdomo's xSLG (.416) is middling, so he could see some power regression the rest of the way or in years to come. Nevertheless, he's broken out as a very solid fantasy contributor in 2025.--Will BradySource: MLB.com

Free-agent running backs Mike Boone and Aaron Shampklin have signed contracts with the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins wasted little time beefing up their running-back corps after they lost Alexander Mattison (neck) to a season-ending neck injury following their first preseason game on Sunday. Boone played in six games for the Carolina Panthers in 2024, handling 13 carries for 51 yards. Shampklin appeared in four games for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, carrying the ball six times for 17 yards. Both players will compete with Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright for a reserve role behind locked-in starter De'Von Achane.--Matt TerelleSource: Adam Schefter on Twitter

Corey Conners knows anything can happen with the playoffs. The Canadian golfer is currently 16th in the points standings heading into the BMW Championship. Also, Conners has a solid history at the event finishing inside the Top 25 four consecutive times. That includes the last time the event was held at Caves Valley Golf Club (2021). Then, Conners ended up T-22. Last week was not his best effort as he struggled to stay around Even par (T-50). The Maryland golf course has new drainage and definitely is meant to play fast and firm. Conners should get a boost from this and make enough birdies to maybe not be a prevailing DFS or betting option. However, a playoff spot is there for the taking. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerSource: PGATour.com

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin was seen talking to team GM Adam Peters on the sidelines during Tuesday's practice. McLaurin has been holding-in over the past few weeks as he is seeking a long-term extension from the Commanders. The Commanders have thus far been reluctant to budge on their price while McLaurin is rumored to be seeking a contract similar to what DK Metcalf got from the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the offseason. While there is no way to tell what exactly was said between McLaurin and Peters on Tuesday, it at least provides a glimmer of hope that the two are talking. The Commanders would have a hard time replacing their No. 1 receiver's production on the field if he's not in the fold by the time Week 1 rolls around. If McLaurin ultimately rejoins the team, he can be treated as a rock-solid WR2 in fantasy drafts later this summer.--Matt TerelleSource: JP Finlay on Twitter

Daniel Berger knows the time is now. The American golfer comes in ranked 33rd for the BMW Championship. Only the Top 30 players advance to next week's Tour Championship. Caves Valley Golf Club has gone from a par of 72 to a par of 70 since it last hosted the event in 2021. The added 60 yards to the course may help Berger. Alas, it comes down to putting again. Fortunately, there is no cut but the final one at the end of the event. Berger started off well in Memphis with a 68 but followed up with a 75 on Friday and again on Sunday. He has not finished inside the Top 30 since the Truist Championship in May. Berger will need that and maybe more to even be a betting option in Maryland. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerSource: PGATour.com

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll homered and recorded two RBI in his team's 7-6 loss to the Texas Rangers on Monday. The home run was Carroll's 26th of the season, which already represents a career-high. In addition to the 26 homers, Carroll is slashing .251/.325/.561 with 62 RBI, 78 runs scored, and 14 stolen bases in 459 plate appearances so far in 2025. The 24-year-old has altered his approach at the plate in search of more power. His strikeout rate has jumped from 19% in 2024 to 24.6% in 2025, but his barrel rate has more than doubled (7.2% to 15.7%), and his hard-hit rate is up nearly 10% (40.6% to 50.3%). Carroll has a legitimate shot at a 35 HR/25 SB season while being a standout contributor in both runs and RBI.--Will BradySource: MLB.com

The Las Vegas Raiders signed free-agent Marquez Callaway and waived wide receiver Kawaan Baker in a corresponding move on Monday. Callaway is beginning his second stint with the Raiders after spending some time on the team's practice squad back in 2023. The veteran wideout has 83 catches for 1,069 yards and seven touchdowns across 47 games in his career since entering the NFL in 2020. Callaway will battle for a reserve spot on the Raiders' initial 53-man roster as the regular season approaches.--Matt TerelleSource: Raiders PR on Twitter

Texas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford hit a home run and recorded three RBI in his team's 7-6 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday. It's the 23-year-old's first home run since July 11, so both fantasy managers and the Rangers will hope this is the sign of a power surge to come. In 424 plate appearances so far this season, Langford is hitting .238/.321/.412 with 16 home runs, 48 RBI, 49 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases. His barrel rate has increased from 9.3% in 2024 to 13.4% in 2025, but his strikeout rate has also jumped from 20.6% to 27.1%. He remains a solid contributor in fantasy, but an underwhelming one given his draft-day cost and prospect pedigree.--Will BradySource: MLB.com

Miami Dolphins running back Alexander Mattison (neck) was officially placed on injured reserve on Monday. Mattison injured his neck during a preseason game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday and later went for surgery. It was announced on Monday that he would miss the remainder of the year, with the team placing him on IR just as a procedural move to clear roster space. Mattison's absence will open up reps for second-year running back Jaylen Wright and rookie Ollie Gordon II behind starter De'Von AchaneUPDATE: Head coach Mike McDaniel said that Mattison's injury is "not career-ending."--Matt TerelleSource: Miami Dolphins on Twitter

Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto powered his team to a 7-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night with a monster game. Neto was three-for-three with two home runs, two walks, and an additional run scored. In 435 plate appearances so far this season, the 24-year-old is slashing .272/.329/.481 with 19 home runs, 48 RBI, 72 runs scored, and 21 stolen bases. Neto's 13.2% barrel rate and 47.6% hard-hit rate are both career-bests by a significant margin. He profiles as a power/speed stud in fantasy who should be a staple at the top of the Angels order for years to come.--Will BradySource: MLB.com

Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher John Means (elbow) threw two innings in a bridge game at the team's Arizona complex, according to Tim Stebbins of MLB.com. Stebbins writes that the next step for Means in his recovery from Tommy John Surgery could be a rehab assignment with one of Cleveland's minor league affiliates. The 32-year-old lefty has thrown just 52 1/3 innings since the start of 2022 due to two separate Tommy John surgeries. In 401 career big-league innings (73 starts), Means is 23-26 with a 3.68 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 334 strikeouts. It appears there's a chance he could make his return very late in the 2025 season, but he's more likely to be fantasy-relevant in 2026.--Will BradySource: MLB.com - Tim Stebbins
