Keibert Ruiz Continuing to Participate in Baseball Activities
Keibert Ruiz (concussion) is going through rehab protocol and continuing to participate in baseball activities as he works back from a concussion. The 27-year-old has already missed over a month after going on the seven-day concussion IL on July 6. Before that, Ruiz hit an underwhelming .247/.277/.318 with two homers, 25 RBI, and 19 runs scored in 267 trips to the plate. He has experienced a noticeable drop in power this year after combining for 31 homers in the previous two seasons. Riley Adams, Ruiz's replacement, hasn't fared much better. Although Adams has belted seven HRs, he owns an unsightly .190/.247/.361 line and a sky-high 40% strikeout rate in 170 plate appearances.
