Bills Defense a Fringe Fantasy Option Against Turnover-Prone Falcons

Justin Fields Not a Lock for Fantasy Success Vs. Broncos
Justin Fields and the New York Jets will get a difficult task in Week 6 when they line up with the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Fields and New York's offense have started each of the previous two games cold, failing to score more than three points in the first half of either. Moreover, those were against below-average defensive units in the Cowboys and the Dolphins. This Sunday, however, they'll square off with a Broncos team that ranks in the top ten in passing yards (eighth) and points per game allowed (second), presenting as their toughest test of the season. Despite the fifth-year pro's struggles at times, he's been an excellent fantasy producer in three of four outings. Fantasy managers will want to temper expectations against a tough Denver defense, though, leaving Fields as more of a high-end QB2 for this weekend, and, officially, RotoBaller's QB14.

Drake London a Reliable WR1 Even in Tough Matchup Versus Bills
Drake London had his best game of the season by far his last time out, putting up 110 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets and eight catches. The 24-year-old is averaging over nine targets per contest and has had at least five catches in three of his four games, however, Week 6 brings a matchup with Buffalo. The Bills have held receivers to the eighth-fewest half-point PPR points and are allowing only 154 yards per game through the air, the second fewest in the league. On the other hand, Darnell Mooney (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's contest, and that could mean a couple of extra looks for London, who already owns a team-best 28.5 percent target share and has the most red zone targets of any of the team's wide receivers. The Falcons could be playing from behind for much of the game as well, so expect London to be the focal point of the receiving corps once again. It may not be a big yardage day for the 6-foot-4 wideout, but his heavy usage in the passing game makes him a mid-range WR1 most weeks, including Week 6.

Colston Loveland Questionable to Play in Week 6
Colston Loveland (hip) is questionable to play in Week 6 against the Washington Commanders on Monday night, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Loveland injured his hip early in the team's Week 3 win over the Dallas Cowboys and was sidelined in Week 4, Chicago's last game before its Week 5 bye. The 21-year-old has recorded three catches for 43 yards on six targets in the limited time where he's been available this season. If Loveland were to remain out in Week 6, Bears tight end Cole Kmet would be in line for significant playing time and could be a low-end streaming option for fantasy managers. With Loveland sidelined in Week 4, Kmet recorded three catches for 46 yards on nine targets. If Loveland plays, neither Bears tight end projects for enough playing time or target volume to provide fantasy-relevant production.

Jackson Hawes Could See Minor Role Increase in Week 6
Jackson Hawes could see a small uptick in opportunities if Dalton Kincaid (oblique) is ruled out ahead of Monday night's matchup against Atlanta. The fifth-round pick has appeared in every game this season but has been used sparingly in the passing game, seeing just four targets through five weeks--hauling in all of them. While Hawes' strong blocking skills have earned him steady snaps, he remains a distant option in Buffalo's offensive pecking order. Even with a potential increase in playing time, his fantasy value is negligible, and he should be avoided in all formats unless his role expands dramatically in the coming weeks.

Emari Demercado Likely to Remain Limited to Supporting Role in Week 6?
Emari Demercado had a Week 5 to forget, as he dropped the ball for a fumble just before crossing the goal line on what should have been a long touchdown run. Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that Demercado will maintain his role in the offense despite the error. Still, Demercado appears to be limited to a third-down role in the Cardinals' backfield. Veteran back Michael Carter assumed lead rushing responsibilities in Week 5, the team's first full game without top running backs James Conner (ankle) and Trey Benson (knee). Arizona takes on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6, who are tied for first in the NFL in fewest rushing touchdowns allowed (two). Demercado recorded just three total touches in Week 5 and should not be expected to see significantly more work in Week 6. Demercado profiles as a low-end flex option in deep leagues in Week 6 against the Colts.

Dawson Knox Could See Increased Usage on Monday Night
Dawson Knox could be in line for an expanded role in Week 6 with Dalton Kincaid (oblique) questionable ahead of Monday night's matchup against Atlanta. Fantasy managers rostering Kincaid should consider adding Knox as insurance, given the late-game kickoff. A proven red zone threat, Knox would likely step into a larger pass-catching role if Kincaid is ruled out. The veteran tight end posted 517 yards and six touchdowns during his last full season as the primary starter in 2022, earning a Pro Bowl nod. With the Falcons boasting the league's top-ranked pass defense, Josh Allen may lean on his tight ends in short-yardage and scoring situations--making Knox a viable streaming option if he's elevated to TE1 duties in Week 6.

Treylon Burks Planning to Visit With Broncos Next Week
Treylon Burks (collarbone) is planning to visit with the Denver Broncos next week, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. A former first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2022, Burks was released by the Titans earlier this year and is free to sign with any team. Burks has been cleared for football activities after suffering a broken collarbone during training camp, but it's unclear exactly when he will be able to take the field once he signs with a new team. The 25-year-old has recorded 53 catches for 699 yards and a touchdown in 27 career games. If Burks were to sign in Denver, he would be part of a crowded wide receiver room and would likely slot in behind Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims Jr., Troy Franklin, and Pat Bryant on the team's depth chart at the position.

Dalton Kincaid Questionable for Monday Night Showdown vs. Falcons
Dalton Kincaid (oblique) is questionable ahead of Monday night's matchup against the league's stingiest pass defense. Kincaid has emerged as the Bills' leading receiver this season and would leave a major void in the passing game if ruled out. In his absence, veteran Dawson Knox would likely see an expanded role, while wideouts Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman could both see increased target shares. The Bills will look to rebound from their first loss of the season against a Falcons defense that has severely limited opposing passing attacks. If active, Kincaid remains a must-start TE1 and a focal point of Buffalo's offense during what's shaping up to be a breakout campaign.

Taylor Decker Ruled Out for Week 6 Due to Shoulder Injury
Jared Goff's ability to push the ball downfield, which may hurt the fantasy outlook for Lions wideout Jameson Williams. Playing without Decker in Week 5, Williams set season lows in targets (one), receptions (one), and receiving yards (nine).

Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder) has been downgraded to out for the team's Week 6 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. This will mark Decker's second straight missed game due to a shoulder injury. Second-year tackle Giovanni Manu (knee) started in place of Decker in Week 5, but Manu missed practice on Friday due to a knee injury and is questionable to play against the Chiefs. Veteran tackle Dan Skipper could be in line to start for the Lions in Week 6. Decker's absence could impact quarterback Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero
Kyle Pitts Sr. a Low-End TE1 in Difficult Matchup Against the Bills
Kyle Pitts Sr. has been a steady performer so far this year, logging at least five targets and at least four receptions in each of the team's first four games, even logging a season-high 70 yards receiving and catching his first touchdown pass of the season in Week 4. Week 6 brings a difficult matchup against the Bills, a defense that has limited opposing offenses to the second-fewest yards per game through the air, and it's a unit that has yielded the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends so far this season. However, with the Bills' LB Matt Milano (pec) ruled out, intermediate targets could open a bit more, and with the Falcons' WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring) also ruled out, a few more targets could be headed Pitts' way. The 6-foot-6 tight end saw a season-high eight targets in Week 1 without Mooney on the field, and is looking like a low-end TE1 for Monday's matchup in Atlanta.

Joshua Palmer Firmly Off Fantasy Radar After Another Quiet Week
Joshua Palmer continues to be a non-factor in the team's offense, seeing just two targets in Week 5 despite playing 51% of offensive snaps against New England. Since his nine-target outing in Week 1, Palmer has failed to see more than three looks in any game, making it clear he's fallen down Buffalo's receiving hierarchy. With Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman commanding more consistent opportunities and the Bills leaning on their ground game, Palmer's path to fantasy relevance remains nonexistent. He can safely be left on waivers in all formats, as his current role offers little to no upside heading into Week 6.

AJ Terrell Off the Injury Report, Good to Go for Week 6

Atlanta Falcons cornerback AJ Terrell (hamstring) is off the injury report and will not carry an injury designation into his team's Week 6 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Terrell injured his hamstring in Atlanta's Week 2 win over the Minnesota Vikings and missed Weeks 3 and 4 before the team's Week 5 bye as a result. A former second-team All-Pro selection, Terrell is Atlanta's top cover corner and recorded two interceptions and 50 solo tackles across 17 games in 2024. His return should boost the Falcons' pass defense, and could make life more difficult for Bills wideouts Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution - D. Orlando Ledbetter
Keon Coleman Looks to Rebound Against Elite Falcons Secondary
Keon Coleman will look to bounce back in Week 6 after cooling off since his explosive eight-catch, 112-yard debut. Over his last four games, Coleman has averaged just 3.3 receptions for 28.5 yards while posting a modest 10.8 yards per catch--a steep drop from his 19.2 average as a rookie. The 22-year-old could see a slight boost in usage if tight end Dalton Kincaid (oblique) is sidelined, but he'll face a tough test against the Falcons' top-ranked pass defense. Atlanta has stifled opposing wideouts all season, and Coleman's fantasy value will likely hinge on volume and red zone looks. He remains a risky, touchdown-dependent WR4 heading into Monday night's matchup.

Noah Fant Still Off the Radar in Week 6
Noah Fant had four catches (five targets) for 26 yards in the Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns. He also had a touchdown in that one. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old hasn't done anything meaningful since then, catching eight passes for 54 yards. In Fant's defense, the entire offense hasn't looked the best, and it didn't matter whether it was Joe Burrow (toe) or Jake Browning under center. With the recently acquired Joe Flacco getting the start versus the Packers, it's unknown how his presence will impact the offense. However, until the offense can turn things around, Fant shouldn't be anywhere near a fantasy lineup. That will still apply if Ja'Marr Chase (illness) ends up getting ruled out in Week 6.
