Carlos Correa Tallies Three Hits, Homers In Rout Of Orioles
Carlos Correa went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 9-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles. His other two hits were singles. The 30-year-old ripped his second homer of the season in the third inning -- a two-run shot -- off of Orioles pitcher Cade Povich to put Minnesota up by five. It left the bat at 109 MPH and traveled a staggering 458 feet. Correa isn't enjoying the same batting average success in 2025 as he did a season ago, when he hit .310, but he's underperforming his .261 xBA (.233). Tuesday marked back-to-back multi-hit efforts for the former first-overall pick, and he's done so three times in his last five appearances.Source: ESPN
Minnesota Twins shortstop Brendan Rodgers Cranks First Long Ball Of 2025
Brendan Rodgers went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. The former third-overall pick drove in Houston's first three runs of the game with his first homer of the season, but that would be all they'd push across in the outing. Rodgers has gotten steady playing time over the past week or so and has actually been better off right-handed pitching this season (13-for-54). It may not be evident in the box score just yet, but he's making far better contact in his first stint with the Astros, sporting career-highs in average exit velocity (91.1 MPH) and hard-hit rate (51.2%). He's still striking out at an undesirable 33.8% clip, though.Source: ESPN
Houston Astros second baseman Jung Hoo Lee Helps Power San Francisco Past Cubs
Jung Hoo Lee went 3-for-6 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 14-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. His other two hits were singles, and he scored two runs. Lee put the Giants up 4-0 in the top of the third with his fourth dinger of the season, scoring Willy Adames. The second-year pro's third RBI came during a scoring outburst in the top of the eleventh inning when the Giants sealed Chicago away for good with an impressive nine runs. Lee has been excellent for the team in 2025, batting a crisp .312 and doubling his home run production from a season ago (four) in seven fewer at-bats. How high he'll reach in that figure remains to be seen, but he's definitely figured something out regarding his swing, and statcast supports the gains (.315 xBA).Source: ESPN
San Francisco Giants outfielder George Springer Crushes Fourth Home Run
George Springer went 2-for-4 with a single, a home run, and two RBI in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. The 35-year-old got the Blue Jays on the board in the first inning with a two-run blast -- his fourth of the season -- off of Angels pitcher Tyler Anderson, scoring teammate Vladimir Guerrero Jr. It traveled 426 feet and exited the bat at 109.1 MPH, qualifying for the hardest hit ball in the contest. After failing to go yard in nearly a month, Springer is up to two homers over his last four games as he continues to impact the ball well. His other hit in the loss was also well struck (103.2 MPH). He's up to a .316/.419/.541 triple slash with five steals to go along with eight doubles, and a 28:18 K:BB ratio (15.7% walk rate) through 98 at-bats.Source: ESPN
Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter William Bergolla Swinging A Hot Bat At Double-A
William Bergolla is performing well during his first taste of Double-A. Through his first 24 games at this level, Bergolla has held a strong .315/.390/.382 slash line with six doubles, seven RBI, and 12 stolen bases. During this stretch, he held a 10:9 K:BB. Last summer, the 20-year-old spent all of his time at the High-A level, split between Jersey Shore and Winston-Salem. Across 89 total games, Bergolla held a .300/.359/.381 slash line with five triples, 12 doubles, and one long ball. Fantasy managers should expect Bergolla to spend most of his time this season at the Double-A level. However, if he continues to produce well, he could open the door for a late-season taste of Triple-A.Source: MiLB.com
Chicago White Sox infield prospect Jefferson Rojas Tallies Three Hits, Extends Hitting Streak To Seven Games
Jefferson Rojas went 3-for-4 during Tuesday's contest against High-A Fort Wayne. This performance also extended his current hitting streak to seven games. During this stretch, the No. 7-ranked prospect in the Cubs system has posted an impressive .429/.452/.750 slash line with a double, a triple, two home runs, and three stolen bases. Through the first 17 games of the High-A regular season, Rojas has been quite productive, holding a .288/.368/.455 slash line. Last summer, Rojas spent most of his time at High-A and has shown consistent progression. Fantasy managers should expect the 20-year-old to get the call to Double-A in the coming weeks, especially if he continues to swing a hot bat. Rojas remains on track for a 2026 MLB debut.Source: MiLB.com
Chicago Cubs infield prospect Travis Bazzana Tallies Two Hits, Swipes Two Bags
Travis Bazzana went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases during their contest against Double-A Somerset on Tuesday evening. Bazzana has begun to find his footing following a slow start to the campaign. Over his last eight games, the former No. 1 overall pick from last year's draft has posted .242/.306/.455 slash line with a double, two home runs, and three stolen bases. However, during his first 18 games of the Double-A regular season, the Oregon State product held a .239 AVG with a mere .380 SLG. After last year's draft, the Guardians assigned Bazzana to High-A Lake County, where he posted a .238/.269/.396 slash line with seven doubles and three home runs. Given his slow start to the season, fantasy managers should not expect Bazzana to contend for an early MLB debut.Source: MiLB.com
Cleveland Guardians infield prospect Sal Stewart Snaps Skid At Double-A
Sal Stewart went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, and a strikeout during Tuesday's contest against Double-A Knoxville. This was the second time in his previous three contests that Stewart tallied multiple hits. However, prior to this recent surge, Stewart went 0-for-10 at the plate. Before his slump, Stewart swung a hot bat as he held a .313/.389/.475 slash line with seven doubles, two home runs, 13 RBI, and nine stolen bases over the first 21 games of the regular season. Stewart spent his entire 2024 campaign at High-A Dayton and is looking quite comfortable during his first taste of Double-A action. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the No. 81-ranked prospect in the sport as he could eventually earn a late-season promotion to Triple-A.Source: MiLB.com
Cincinnati Reds infield prospect George Lombard Jr. Tallies Hit In Double-A Debut
George Lombard Jr. went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts during his Double-A debut on Tuesday evening. Lombard opened the campaign at High-A but was given an early promotion. Through his first 24 games of the campaign at High-A, the 19-year-old looked quite comfortable, holding a .329/.495/.488 slash line with eight doubles, one home run, 11 stolen bases, and an impressive 22:23 K:BB. Last summer, Lombard received his first look at High-A but posted a modest .226/.321/.296 slash line. Given his steady progress, fantasy managers should continue to closely monitor his progression at Double-A. The No. 2-ranked prospect in Bronx could even push for a late-season taste of Triple-A if he continues to produce.Source: MiLB.com
New York Yankees shortstop prospect Zach Neto’s Swipes Two Bags To Help Lift Angels To Victory Over Blue Jays
Zach Neto had a nice night in an 8-3 victory Tuesday over the Toronto Blue Jays. Neto finished 1-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases, and two runs scored on Tuesday. He picked up a single in the first inning before scoring on a Taylor Ward two-run homer. The 24-year-old also stole two bases in the victory, bringing his season total up to seven. Neto has produced well at the top of the Angels' lineup, hitting .290 (18-for-62) with a .323 OBP and a .888 OPS. His barrel percentage has also doubled in this young season, from 8.4 last year to 16.7 this year. Fantasy managers should continue to roll with Neto while he's swinging a hot bat.Source: MLB.com
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Taylor Ward Powers Angels With Two-Run Homer In Win Over Jays
Taylor Ward had a solid night at the plate in an 8-3 victory Tuesday over the Toronto Blue Jays. Ward finished 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk, and an additional run scored in Tuesday's win. He blasted a two-run shot off Blue Jays pitcher Jose Urena in the first inning, which traveled 419 feet and left the bat at 106.4 mph, kicking off the scoring for the Angels. It was his seventh long ball of the season. Ward has struggled to find consistency in a banged-up Angels lineup this season, slashing just .188/.234/.391 with a .625 OPS. He will look to find more production as the Angels try to climb in the AL West.Source: MLB.com
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Brent Rooker Collects Three Hits, Steals Two Bases In A’s Loss To Mariners
Brent Rooker went 3-for-5 with an RBI single, two runs, two stolen bases, and a walk in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners. The 30-year-old drove in a run in the third inning with a 96.3 mph single to center field and later added a double and a single in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively. He also stole his first two bases of the season and has logged multi-hit efforts in two of his last four games. Rooker is now slashing .255/.323/.497 with an .820 OPS and a .345 wOBA in 2025. Rooker and the Athletics will look to bounce back and win the series on Wednesday in an afternoon rubber match against the Mariners.Source: MLB.com
Athletics outfielder Bobby Witt Jr. Hits Walk-Off Single On Tuesday
Bobby Witt Jr. went 1-for-5 with an RBI single during their victory over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday evening. Witt played the hero as he hit a single in the final frame, which brought home the game-winning run. This was Witt's third-straight game tallying an RBI and a hit. After going hitless in just two games following his impressive 22-game hitting streak, it appears the 24-year-old superstar has gotten right back on track. During his 22-game hitting streak, Witt held a stellar .362/.442/.550 slash line with nine doubles, two home runs, and six stolen bases. Under the hood, Witt has generated an elite .380 xwOBA with a .308 xBA, which are both well above the average marks. He remains a high-end option in all formats given his five-category production.Source: MLB.com
Kansas City Royals shortstop Zac Gallen Solid In Win Over Mets, Picks Up Second Straight Victory
Zac Gallen (3-4) earned his second consecutive win Tuesday in a 5-1 victory over the New York Mets. Gallen threw 101 pitches over seven dominant innings, striking out six and allowing just one run on two hits and three walks. He picked up his third win of the season. The 29-year-old now owns a 4.37 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 49 strikeouts across 45 1/3 innings this season. Gallen has looked sharper in recent outings, and the Diamondbacks have reason to be encouraged by his form. He is scheduled to start at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers this weekend.Source: MLB.com
Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Austin Wells Goes Deep, Swips A Bag On Tuesday
Austin Wells was busy during their dominant 12-3 victory over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday evening. Wells went 2-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, a stolen base, and two runs. In the seventh inning, Wells would tally his first RBI of the evening with an RBI single, scoring outfielder Jasson Dominguez. Later in the frame, Wells would cap off their victory with a grand slam. Through 32 games this season, Wells has struggled to find consistency but has continued to flash upside power as he has gone deep seven times and held a .220/.273/.486 line. He has tallied 23 RBI, which is currently the seventh-most in the American League. Given his role as the everyday backstop in a potent lineup, he remains a strong option in standard formats. He will look to stay hot on Wednesday, facing San Diego right-hander Dylan Cease.Source: MLB.com
