Justin Herbert Expects To Be Fine
Justin Herbert (leg) suffered a left-leg contusion in the Sunday night loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14, but Herbert said he doesn't expect the injury to affect him going forward. He took a hard hit to his left lower thigh late in the second quarter and eventually limped to the sideline. Herbert took a play off but then return to action and finished out the game without any issues. "Tough as they come, warrior," head coach Jim Harbaugh said of Herbert. The 26-year-old finished 21-for-30 passing with 213 yards and one touchdown. Herbert should be fine to play in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but his upside as a low-end QB1 in fantasy will likely come down to whether rookie receiver Ladd McConkey (knee, shoulder) ends up missing his second straight game.Source: ESPN.com - Kris Rhim

Cameron Dicker made all three of his kicks in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Dicker made both of his extra point attempts and also nailed a field goal from 37 yards out in the fourth quarter. "Dicker the Kicker" continues to be one of the more consistent and reliable options in fantasy football's least consistent and reliable position. He'll get to kick against Tampa Bay in Week 15.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers kicker Stone Smartt Makes Three Catches In Week 14 Loss
Stone Smartt was targeted three times in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, making three catches for 54 yards. Smartt was forced into a larger role after starting tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) had to leave the game due to getting injured on the last play before halftime. Smartt has shown some upside in small bursts and could be a streaming option in 2TE leagues in Week 15 if Dissly is unable to return.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly Forced To Leave At Halftime In Week 14
Will Dissly (shoulder) was forced to leave the game in Week 14 after getting hurt on the last play before halftime. Dissly caught two passes on two targets, totaling 19 yards before being forced to leave. Tight end Stone Smartt came in to take Dissly's place after halftime and picked up 54 yards on three catches. Dissly will be questionable at best for Week 15 against Tampa Bay, but as long as he's healthy enough to suit up, he should remain a high-floor mid-ceiling fantasy tight end option.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Quentin Johnston Scores A Week 14 Touchdown
Quentin Johnston scored a touchdown, his seventh of the season, in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnston was expected to have a bigger role with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) inactive, but that leading role went to Joshua Palmer instead. Still, Johnston saw seven targets thrown his way, making five catches for 48 yards including a four-yard touchdown catch near the end of the third quarter. "QJ" went on a touchdown scoring streak earlier in the season but hadn't found the end zone since Week 11. It was a solid performance from the sophomore pass catcher, who will face Tampa Bay next week.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer Leads The Chargers In Week 14 Loss
Joshua Palmer led the Chargers in most receiving categories in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer was targeted nine times, making six catches for 78 yards, all leading the team. Palmer took over as quarterback Justin Herbert's favorite target with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) out and other Chargers pass catchers missing time throughout the game. A similar game plan could take place next week against Tampa Bay, where Palmer will be around the WR3/4 border if McConkey can't play.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Kimani Vidal Gets Eight Carries In Week 14
Kimani Vidal nearly split the backfield with starter Gus Edwards in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Vidal ran the ball eight times, gaining 34 yards. He was targeted once in the passing game but did not make the catch. Vidal got two fewer carries compared to Edwards but was second on the team in carries and rushing yards and clearly working in a role that could continue to grow while J.K. Dobbins (knee) remains on IR.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Gus Edwards Finds The End Zone In Week 14
Gus Edwards scored a touchdown in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Edwards led the Bolts backfield in carries and yards, and was the only runner to find the end zone. In total, Edwards ran 10 times, gaining 36 yards. His touchdown was a three-yard run in the middle of the third quarter that opened the scoring for the Chargers. Nine different Chargers players saw passes thrown their way, but Edwards did not get any action at all in the passing game. The Chargers will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week, where Edwards will once again likely need a touchdown to put up a significant fantasy score.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers running back Justin Herbert Throws A Touchdown In Tough Week 14 Loss
Justin Herbert threw a touchdown pass in a tough Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Herbert and the Bolts offense did close to nothing in the first half but looked a lot stronger after halftime. Despite throwing to guys who would be depth pieces at best on most other teams, Herbert was still able to complete 21 of his 30 passes for 213 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. He was sacked three times, losing 19 yards, but added 12 yards on four carries. Herbert's touchdown was on a four-yard pass to Quentin Johnston near the end of the third quarter. Ladd McConkey Inactive Versus Kansas City
Ladd McConkey (shoulder, knee) won't play in Sunday night's meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs. The wideout was labeled as a "true game-time decision." Unfortunately, the latest update just confirms what most fantasy managers had already anticipated. Without McConkey, who has had a quality rookie season, Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer are in line for more attention from Justin Herbert. Will Dissly should also get more involved.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey A True Game-Time Decision
Ladd McConkey (shoulder, knee) is considered a true game-time decision to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This development puts fantasy managers in a bind: McConkey is an effective WR2 option if he plays, but as the Sunday Night Football game, managers are out of runway if he's ruled out. Tight end Will Dissly has quickly vaulted to second on the team in targets, while receivers Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnson are low-volume options who could see a boost if McConkey doesn't play.Source: NFL Network
