Orioles Call Up D.J. Stewart
6 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles called up outfielder D.J. Stewart from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. The former first-round pick and Orioles No. 15 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, was hitting .316/.425/.586 with eight home runs, 35 RBI and four stolen bases in 43 games for Norfolk this season. He saw some major league action in 2018 and is better positioned for success in his second stint. The rebuilding Orioles could give him decent playing time in the outfield now that Chris Davis (hip) is on the injured list and Trey Mancini is covering first base. Give Stewart a look in deep mixed and AL-only leagues for his power/speed combination.
