Carolina Hurricanes forward Nino Niederreiter put his team on the board late in the third period Monday night, but it was too little too late as the Hurricanes fell 3-1 to the Red Wings. With 15 goals on the year, Niederreiter is on track to hit the 20 goal plateau again after failing to do so in two of the last three seasons. His 1.4 goals scored per 60 pace is a career-best, propped up by a career-best 16.1 percent shooting percentage. Niederreiter does not offer much for the periphery categories, and his assist total is slightly lower than we have come to expect from him, but, for points-only leagues, he holds value as an important piece of a Carolina offense that scores 3.15 goals per game.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
