Nathan MacKinnon Collects Three Points In Crucial Win
Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon recorded three points as the team staved off elimination with a 7-4 victory against the Dallas Stars on Thursday night. Colorado's star forward was quiet for most of the night but sparked into life late in the game. He collected all his points inside the final 11 minutes of play, recording a goal and two assists. MacKinnon was credited with a Stars own goal at the 9:02 mark in the third period, which ended up being the game-winning tally. He then picked up his helpers with the Dallas net empty. This tied MacKinnon for the franchise record for most points in a playoff period. While MacKinnon was held in check by the Stars for most of Game 6, he has enjoyed a good series, picking up 10 points (six goals, four assists) in six games.
