Mikael Granlund Returns to Action Thursday
Anaheim Ducks forward Mikael Granlund (lower body) will rejoin the lineup on Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings. He has been cleared to return after an eight-game absence caused by a lower-body injury. The Finnish veteran will skate alongside Frank Vatrano and Ryan Strome, who will make his season debut on Thursday night. Granlund is averaging a point per game through eight appearances this season, but he greatly boosted his scoring tally with a five-point effort on Oct. 23 against the Boston Bruins. Considering he will re-enter the lineup in a bottom-six role, Granlund currently doesn't look like a good fantasy option.
