Mets To Discuss Edwin Diaz's Role After Another Rough Outing
Edwin Diaz's role in the team's bullpen with the team's brass. He was put into the ninth inning with the team down 3-2 and went on to issue two walks, a single, and a hit-by-pitch. Luckily, Paul Sewald entered after and stranded all three runners leaving Diaz with one earned run. That's back-to-back outings where the righty has given up a run after a miserable 2019 campaign that saw him blow seven saves to a 5.59 ERA. Diaz likely won't close any games soon for the Mets and may be limited to low-leverage situations until he can regain his confidence. Seth Lugo, Dellin Betances and Jeurys Familia remain the bullpen arms to own.
