Masataka Yoshida Returns Against Rangers
1 year agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida (leg) is back in the lineup for a contest on Tuesday against the visiting Texas Rangers and right-hander Dane Dunning. Yoshida is starting in left field and batting third in the lineup. The 29-year-old Japanese outfielder ended up missing just one game after being hit in the leg by a pitch, so fantasy managers will want to get him right back into their starting lineups for the Fourth of July. Yoshida has been as advertised in his first big-league season in the States, slashing .305/.377/.477 with an .854 OPS, nine home runs, 17 doubles, two triples, 41 RBI, four stolen bases and 41 runs scored in 313 plate appearances over 73 games played. He has five hits (one homer) in his last two games.
