Latavius Murray Finishes Year With 100-Yard Effort
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Latavius Murray ended the season strong on Sunday in the 31-28 win over the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers in the Week 18 regular season finale, going for 103 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Murray also caught his only target for 15 yards. The 32-year-old veteran back pretty much took over lead-back duties after Javonte Williams (knee) suffered a season-ending injury earlier this year, and he finished with 160 carries for 703 yards (4.4 yards per carry) and five touchdowns in 12 games. He also had 26 receptions for 124 extra yards. Murray will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but his work for Denver in 2022 should allow him to latch on with another team. If the Broncos re-sign him, he'll be veteran insurance behind Williams.
