LaMonte Wade Jr. Hopes To Return Thursday
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. (side) is not in the team's starting lineup on Wednesday night against the San Diego Padres, but he said he's feeling better and is hoping to return to the lineup on Thursday. He could also be available off the bench as a pinch-hitter on Wednesday. The 29-year-old is dealing with right-side tightness and had an MRI exam on Wednesday, but his injury is obviously not too serious. Consider him day-to-day for now. Wade has been solid for the Gigantes and fantasy managers with a .280 average (61-for-218) this year with nine home runs, 11 doubles, one triple, 27 RBI and 38 runs scored in 272 plate appearances and 68 games. David Villar is back at first base on Wednesday and is hitting seventh against Padres right-hander Yu Darvish.
