Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland is on a roll. Freeland shut down the Mets for seven innings on Sunday en route to his third straight quality start. Freeland only allowed four hits and two earned runs while striking out eight. That now gives Freeland a 21/4 K/BB ratio over his last 21 innings pitched, and four of his seven outings this year have been quality starts. His 3.95 ERA is partially buoyed by the fact that he’s only pitched twice at home (though he shut down the Padres and Braves in those two outings), so owners should still be a little leery of starting him in Denver, but he looks like a solid option overall for the time being.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
