Payton Tolle Could Make Debut on Friday
Dustin May being pushed back to Saturday, the Sox will need a pitcher for Friday, and manager Alex Cora has indicated that "everybody is in the mix" in regards to Friday's game. If it is Tolle who gets the call, he will bring tons of momentum with him after starting the season at High-A. In 20 appearances (18 starts) between High-A and Triple-A, Boston's second-ranked prospect has pitched to a 3.04 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and has tallied 133 strikeouts in only 91 2/3 innings pitched (30.2 percent K-BB%). If he gets the start, the 2024 second-rounder would be worthy of picking up in most 12-teamers and could be used in DFS for the strikeout upside.
