Justin Verlander Comes Up Short In Game 2
5 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander allowed four runs in six innings of work as the Astros fell to the Nationals 12-3 in Game 2 of the World Series. The Astros have now lost their home field advantage and Verlander, once again, struggled to get through the first few innings unscathed. Verlander was roughed up in the first inning, allowing a two-run double to the Nationals Anthony Rendon. Verlander now carries a 16.20 ERA in the first inning of his postseason starts and the Astros are now in a 2-0 hole. Unless the Astros steal a few games in Washington, Verlander's season could be over.
