Jose Altuve Being Sent For MRI
1 year agoHouston Astros manager Dusty Baker said that second baseman Jose Altuve (oblique) will undergo an MRI exam on Wednesday. Altuve was scratched from the lineup on Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies after injuring his left oblique during batting practice, and he's also out of the lineup on Wednesday. The 33-year-old also missed four games due to an oblique injury last month, so it's a bit concerning for fantasy managers. Don't rule out a stint on the injured list just before next week's All-Star break. Altuve is currently hitting .264 (32-for-121) with six home runs, 18 RBI, five stolen bases and 25 runs scored in 32 games for the Astros. For as long as he remains sidelined, Mauricio Dubon should handle second-base duties in Houston.
