San Diego Padres starter Joey Lucchesi (hip/glute) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday. Lucchesi had an off night in his start Monday, lasting only five innings and allowing three earned runs via six hits and a walk. He struck out only two in the contest. Lucchesi suffered a hip strain in his previous outing but was still able to make Monday's start. The expectation is he should only miss one start and will return after the 10-day minimum. The Padres could just be managing the rookie left-hander's workload. Lucchesi has an impressive 3.23 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 9.1 K/9 this season and is a worthwhile hold in fantasy leagues. Second baseman Carlos Asuaje, who was just optioned to Triple-A on Monday, will replace Lucchesi on the roster.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
