Los Angeles Chargers left tackle Joe Alt (ankle) is believed to have suffered another high-ankle sprain during Sunday's Week 9 win over the Tennessee Titans, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. Unlike his ankle injury earlier this season, Alt's latest high-ankle sprain could require a procedure to repair. Schefter's report indicates that the former first-round pick will likely miss time, regardless of whether surgery is confirmed as necessary. The 22-year-old will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm the diagnosis, determine the severity, and pinpoint a timeline for return. If Alt does miss time, Jamaree Salyer would likely step up as the starting left tackle in his absence.
