Jets Need Offensive-Line Help
9 months agoThe Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt writes that the New York Jets' biggest offseason need in 2024 is their offensive line, and it's been the case for most of the last decade (if not longer). It should help that the Jets have veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, although he's 40 years old and coming off an Achilles tear. New York started 13 offensive-line combinations in 17 games in 2023 and have had bad luck with injuries for two straight seasons. Their decision to enter last year with 38-year-old Duane Brown and an injury-prone Mekhi Becton as their two best tackle options was a bad idea. The Jets have two players locked in as starters (Joe Tippmann and Alijah Vera-Tucker), but at a minimum, they'll need at least two new starting offensive linemen and better depth to help protect Rodgers.
