Jets Looking To Give Dalvin Cook More Touches?
1 year agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh hinted that the team is going to look to get running back Dalvin Cook more touches behind Breece Hall moving forward. "I feel like his legs are alive ... getting him a role is a priority," Saleh said. Cook had 13 carries in the season opener with the team easing Hall in from his torn ACL suffered last year. Since then, Cook hasn't seen double-digit carries and is averaging just 3.13 yards per attempt on the ground. He looked more spry in the Week 10 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, though, carrying four times for 26 yards (6.50 yards per tote). Hall is going to remain the lead back for the Jets, though, and the offense isn't moving the ball consistently enough to allow for much more work for Cook. We'll believe in a bigger role for Cook only when we see it happen.
