Jeremy Sprinkle 2020 Outlook: Must Turn Opportunity Into Production
5 years agoJeremy Sprinkle had a chance to really step up in 2019 with both Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis dealing with injuries, but the third-year tight end failed to really move the needle for both the Redskins and fantasy owners. Sprinkle had 26 receptions on 40 targets for 241 yards and three touchdowns. He should continue to serve as the team's top pass-catching tight end ahead of Richard Rodgers and Logan Thomas, but it remains to be seen if the 25-year-old can take the next step with a young and inexperienced QB at the helm. The fifth-round pick in 2017 has just three touchdowns in his three seasons in the NFL. There is opportunity in Washington's passing attack, but Sprinkle must prove it before fantasy owners will consider him anything more than a low-end TE2 in deeper leagues.
