Jaxon Smith-Njigba Expected To Play Against Rams
1 year agoSeattle Seahawks rookie first-round wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba (wrist) is expected to suit up in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Smith-Njigba has already returned to the practice field after having surgery to fix a slight fracture in his left wrist on Aug. 24. The 21-year-old Ohio State product should be active for his first real NFL game this Sunday as the No. 3 wideout behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Until we know more about how Seattle plans to use Smith-Njigba coming off wrist surgery, though, fantasy managers should consider him a risky flex play as he competes for targets. UPDATE: JSN was able to put in a full day of practice on Wednesday.
