James Paxton Feeling Better
6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (knee) said his knee felt "the best that it's felt" since going on the injured list after a bullpen session on Sunday. He will meet with a doctor on Monday to see if he can be cleared to start on Wednesday against the Padres. It's a great sign after he still had knee discomfort in an extended spring training start last Sunday. The left-hander is 3-2 this year with a nice 3.11 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 52 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings over seven starts. Fantasy owners will want to return him to their lineups this week, but he'll be slightly more risky against an improved San Diego lineup.
