Jake Evans Exits With Injury Thursday
Montreal Canadiens center Jake Evans (undisclosed) left Thursday's loss to the Washington Capitals early, exiting the action following a big hit from Capitals forward Tom Wilson. Evans logged 12:19 of ice time against Washington, finishing an 8-4 loss with a minus-one rating. Before Thursday night, Evans had scored points in back-to-back games. In total, he has managed three goals and six points in 20 games. Evans has recently had a chance to be a bigger part of Montreal's plans due to the absences of Kirby Dach (foot) and Alex Newhook (ankle). If he can't play on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Evans would miss his first contest of the campaign.
