New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes (shoulder) has undergone surgery and will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season, the team announced. The Devils star injured his right shoulder in Sunday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Hughes also missed the end of the 2023-24 season due to shoulder surgery. He finishes this season with 70 points (27 goals, 43 assists) in 62 games. New Jersey has placed Hughes on long-term Injured Reserve, which allows the club to open up $8 million in cap space ahead of Friday's trade deadline.
