Jack Hughes Sustains Non-Hockey Hand Injury
New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes (hand) is expected to miss Saturday's matchup against the Washington Capitals. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Hughes cut his hand during a "fluke accident" at a team dinner. The three-time All-Star leads New Jersey in scoring with 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 17 games. Juho Lammikko will likely come into the lineup as Hughes' replacement on Saturday. At the same time, Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe will have to tweak the top six and first power-play unit due to Hughes' absence.
