Jack Flaherty Strikes Out Six In Rehab Start
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (shoulder) struck out six and walked none while allowing one run on one hit in four innings in his second minor league rehab start for Triple-A Memphis on Friday. Flaherty struck out three in three perfect innings in his first rehab start for Double-A Springfield, so he's looked pretty good so far. The 26-year-old threw 59 pitches on Friday and is expected to make at least one more rehab start before he rejoins the Cardinals starting rotation for his 2022 season debut. Flaherty went 9-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 1.06 WHIP while striking out 85 and walking 26 in 78 1/3 innings over 17 outings (15 starts) for the Cardinals last year, and he has the ability to be a strong SP2 for fantasy managers when healthy.
