Baltimore Orioles catching prospect Caden Bodine (finger) was placed on the Single-A Delmarva seven-day injured list on Saturday due to a left-finger contusion. This will basically end the season for the Orioles' 10th-ranked prospect. The 30th overall pick in this year's Draft will finish with 11 games played for the Shorebirds, going 14-for-43 (.326) with one double and a 5:8 BB:K. Bodine has a good hit tool, which should get him to High-A or even Double-A next year, although his path to the majors is currently blocked by Samuel Basallo, who Baltimore recently signed to an eight-year deal, unless Basallo ultimately moves to first base full-time. The Orioles also selected catcher Ike Irish in this year's Draft, so the organization is deep at the position.--Jarod Rupp
