Washington Nationals shortstop prospect Eli Willits is looking very comfortable at Single-A Fredericksburg since debuting there on Aug. 21. The first-overall selection in this year's Draft has recorded at least one hit in each game he's played there, now riding a nine-game hit streak after a 2-for-4 day at the plate on Saturday. In all, the Nats' top-ranked prospect is 13-for-31 (.419) with a double, five RBI, five runs scored, two steals, and a 5:5 BB:K in those nine games. He looks like a lock to start 2026 at High-A, although there is no need to rush him as he doesn't even turn 18 years old until December. The switch-hitter should grow into more power as he matures, and he is proving himself worthy of a top pick in first-year player drafts for fantasy.--Jarod RuppRead More News
