Hunter Goodman, Ryan McMahon on the Bench Against Nationals
Hunter Goodman and third baseman Ryan McMahon will start Wednesday's game against the hosting Washington Nationals on the bench. Braxton Fulford will do the catching and bat ninth, while Orlando Arcia will start at the hot corner and hit sixth against Nationals left-hander Mitchell Parker. Goodman will get a much-needed day of rest after starting 13 of the team's last 14 games. The 25-year-old backstop is having a breakout season in Colorado and is sporting a .285/.326/.522 slash line with an .849 OPS, 14 homers, 46 RBI and 38 runs scored in 270 at-bats. McMahon, meanwhile, has disappointed with a .222 average (55-for-248) with 11 homers and 24 RBI on the year. DFS managers will want to stay away from both Arcia and Fulford as sleepers. Arcia has one hit in four career at-bats against Parker.
