1 year agoCT scans on both New York Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler (chest) and catcher Kevin Plawecki (ribs) were negative. Wheeler was hit in the chest by a line drive during his start against the Dodgers on Wednesday, while Plawecki was drilled in the ribs by a pitch. Wheeler gave up two homers but got the win by limiting the Dodgers to three runs in seven innings while striking out nine. The right-hander has proven worthy of owning in all leagues, and he has a much better matchup next time out against the Marlins. Plawecki is day-to-day and may miss a game or two, but he has avoided a serious injury. That's good news with Devin Mesoraco (back, neck) out indefinitely after being injured on Monday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
