George Springer Beginning To Bust Out Of Slump
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer is beginning to show signs of breaking out of a six-week slump and is 4-for-10 in the first three games back from the All-Star break. Springer drove in only eight runs in 100 at-bats in the month of June and his average took a nose dive from .305 on May 25 to .248 on July 13. But after hitting an opposite field home run in the All-Star game, Springer has looked more like himself and drove in six runs over the weekend. Fantasy owners can rest easy as it appears that Springer's drought at the plate is over and a hot streak may be on the way.
