Boston Red Sox right-handed pitcher Tanner Houck (elbow) is scheduled to undergo Tommy John Surgery on Monday. The 29-year-old suffered a right flexor pronator strain in the middle of May and has been on the Injured List ever since. He had been making gains in the summer, going so far as to complete a long rehab assignment. However, before being reinstated from the Injured List, Houck suffered a setback. It was here that the decision was made for Tommy John Surgery. This procedure will cost him the rest of this season and possibly all of the 2026 season, though he is hopeful to pitch at some point. With no guarantee that he will return next season, he is someone who can remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.--Dave Funnell - RotoBaller
