Garrett Mitchell Reinstated From The Injured List
5 months agoThe Milwaukee Brewers reinstated outfielder Garrett Mitchell (finger) from the 60-day injured list on Monday and optioned infielder Tyler Black to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move. The Brewers also designated infielder Owen Miller for assignment. It remains to be seen if Mitchell will be in the team's starting lineup on Monday for the series opener at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies, but whenever he gets into a game, it will be his season debut after missing the first three months of 2024 with a fractured finger. There's a crowded outfield already in Milwaukee, so fantasy managers can't expect the former first-rounder to see regular playing time among Christian Yelich, Blake Perkins, Sal Frelick and Jackson Chourio. In 12 minor-league rehab games for Nashville, Mitchell looked good, hitting .318 with four home runs and four steals.
