San Diego Padres outfielder Franchy Cordero recorded three knocks in four at-bats Thursday night against the St. Louis Cardinals. Cordero nearly tied the game with a deep fly ball in the ninth inning, but outfielder Marcell Ozuna tracked it down. Cordero has eight hits in his last five games (.421 average) and continues his development into an all-around hitter. Each of his singles Thursday night were sprayed to different parts of the yard. For the season, Cordero is slashing .281/.349/.500 with six homers, 14 runs, 15 RBI and four steals in 107 plate appearances. He's improved his BB/K ratio from 0.14 last season to 0.29. Cordero makes extremely hard contact and bats in the heart of the Padres lineup. He could be a useful fantasy asset in all leagues if he keeps the strikeouts down.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
