Erick Fedde Drawing MLB Interest
1 year agoFormer Washington Nationals right-hander Erick Fedde is drawing major-league interest already this offseason after going 20-6 with a 2.00 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 180 1/3 innings over 30 starts while winning the Choi Dong-won award (the Korean Cy Young) for the NC Dinos this year. Fedde was the 18th overall pick by the Nationals out of UNLV in 2014 and pitched in six major-league seasons in D.C. for the Nats before playing in Korea in 2023. In his six big-league campaigns in Washington, he went 21-33 with a 5.41 ERA (5.17 FIP) and 1.52 WHIP with a 9.5 percent walk rate and weak 17.5 percent strikeout rate in 454 1/3 innings over 102 appearances (88 starts). The 30-year-old will now be looking to resurface in the States in 2024, but fantasy managers should take a wait-and-see approach with him if he's back in the majors next season.
