Detroit Lions linebacker Derrick Barnes has signed a new deal with the organization. The two sides have agreed on a three-year, $25.5 million contract extension. Barnes missed most of the 2024 season due to a season-ending knee injury in Week 3. Despite that, the Lions remain committed to Barnes and have locked him up for the next few seasons. Barnes put together a breakout campaign in 2023 when he recorded 81 tackles and five tackles for loss across 16 games with the Lions.
